As part of the celebration of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl’s 50th edition, the bowl released a special-edition 50th anniversary logo. 

As the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, 2026 Chairman Keith Burton will lead the Independence Bowl Foundation. Burton, officially sworn in at the 2026 Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, March 12 at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club, takes the reins from 2025 Chairwoman, Sarah Giglio.

There was something special about Louisiana Tech’s record-setting seventh visit to the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl.

Educators at public schools from Caddo, Bossier, DeSoto, Red River and Webster Parishes are eligible for the donation. Fans will have the opportunity to nominate deserving educators from November 1 through November 21 and can do so at RadianceTechnologiesIndependenceBowl.com/EYFT.

Bowl Season announced their 2025 inductees into the Bowl Season Leadership Hall of Fame on Thursday, October 30, and former Independence Bowl Chairman Mike McCarthy is being honored by the national college football world for his endless contributions – being named as a member of Bowl Season’s Leadership Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
