Independence Bowl Presents $5,000 Checks to Fairfield Elementary Magnet and Bossier Parish School for Technology & Innovative Learning
The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl completed its nearly $56,000 in education funding on Monday – presenting $5,000 checks each to Fairfield Elementary Magnet and Bossier Parish School for Technology & Innovative Learning. The $5,000 grant was awarded to each school to support programs to promote teacher retention, recruitment and recognition.

Super Bowl LVII is set for this Sunday between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Super Bowl and the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl have deep ties, as there have been 111 players that have played in the 46-year history of the Independence Bowl who have also played in a Super Bowl.
Seven Independence Bowl Alumni Head to Super Bowl LVII
The Philadelphia Eagles are set to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII on February 12, and seven players between the two rosters will represent the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl. Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid is also an Independence Bowl alum himself.

Louisiana to Take on Houston in 46th Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl
The holiday season is around the corner and the matchup is now set for the 46th Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, as the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns from the Sun Belt Conference will face off against the Houston Cougars of the American Athletic Conference (AAC). Kickoff for college football’s 11th most-historic bowl game is set for 2 p.m. CST on Friday, December 23 at Independence Stadium.
