The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Junior Tennis Classic returns in one month, April 5-6. The tournament is a USTA National Level 5 Tournament and welcomes youth tennis players from across the country to the Shreveport-Bossier City area.

In the first female-to-female succession of Chair of the Independence Bowl Foundation, Sarah Giglio was handed the reigns as 2025 Chair of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl by the 2024 Chair, Claire Rebouche.

Amid federal funding negotiations, Starbase locations nationwide are facing a lack of funding and are in search of donors to keep the program running. The Independence Bowl Foundation and Extra Yard for Teachers have committed to donating $10,000 to the Starbase Louisiana Barksdale Air Force Base branch.

The announced attendance for the 48th Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl was 34, 283 was the largest attendance since 2014, topping the previous high of 33,601 in 2019.
