“Show Your Independence” Art Contest Returns for 11th Year
SHREVEPORT, La. (Oct. 8, 2024) – Each year since 2013, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl has asked Caddo and Bossier Parish students to draw what the word “independence” means to them in the “Show Your Independence” Art Contest, with the winners being awarded tickets to the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl. This program returns for its 11th year in 2024, presented by The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate and Willis Knighton Sports Medicine.
Kindergarten through 12th-grade students from both parishes participate in this contest, showing off their artistic ability to express what “independence” means to them. Three students from each grade are named the contest winners and receive two free tickets apiece to the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl on Saturday, December 28 at 8:15 p.m. Their artwork will also displayed in The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate, at the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl on the main video board and online at RadianceTechnologiesIndependenceBowl.com.
The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl thanks The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate and Willis Knighton Sports Medicine for supporting the “Show Your Independence” Art Contest.
